Embracing Renewal

April always feels like a reset button.
The air shifts, the light lingers a little longer, and everything around us starts to bloom again—quietly reminding us that renewal doesn’t have to be dramatic to be powerful. Sometimes, it’s as simple as making small, intentional changes that align better with the life we’re trying to build.
This month, I’ve been leaning into that idea—not just personally, but within my business and home as well.
One of the biggest changes you may have noticed is the new look for my magnesium lotion. Transitioning to glass jars wasn’t just about aesthetics (even though, let’s be honest, they look so clean and luxurious on your shelf). It was a decision rooted in intention. Glass is reusable, more sustainable, and doesn’t carry the same long-term environmental impact as plastic. When you hold that jar, I want it to feel like something worth keeping—not tossing.
As a small business owner, every packaging choice matters. I’m constantly asking myself: “Is this better for my customers? Is this better for the environment?” Moving toward glass felt like a step in the right direction—even if it’s just one step.
And that same mindset has been spilling over into my home life too.
I’ve started making simple swaps—nothing overwhelming, just thoughtful. Things like switching to bamboo toothbrushes instead of plastic ones, being more mindful about single-use items, and paying closer attention to what I bring into my space. These changes aren’t about perfection. They’re about awareness.
Because the truth is, we’re learning more every day about things like microplastics—tiny particles that come from the breakdown of plastic materials. They’ve been found in our water, our food, and even within our bodies. While research is still ongoing, it’s enough to make you pause and reconsider how much plastic we interact with daily.
That doesn’t mean you need to throw everything out and start over. It just means we can start making better choices where we can. Even a small switch to all cotton undies can easily be made--->
Renewal also isn’t just about what we use—it’s about how we take care of ourselves.
April is a great reminder to check in with your body. If you’ve been putting off your yearly check-ups, consider this your sign. Preventative care matters. Listening to your body matters. Taking the time to understand what’s going on internally is just as important as what we put on our skin.
For me, this season is about alignment.
Aligning my business with my values.
Aligning my home with intention.
Aligning my habits with the life I’m trying to create.
And if you’re in a season of change too, I want you to know—it doesn’t have to be all at once. Start small. Stay consistent. Let it grow naturally.
Just like everything else this time of year.
Here’s to renewal—in our homes, our routines, and ourselves.
